I believe someone should be himself or herself in chat as they would be in real life.
I do not believe that someone should “demand respect” especially over others who hasn’t given it. I feel that respect should be given without reservation, unless it is proven that it shouldn’t be given.
I do not think being called “Sir, Ma’am” is a mandatory thing, personally I am called what I am to another, ie, if I am respected as a “Sir” then call Me “Sir” if I am to be called “Herc” then so be it, that is your choice and is not Mine.
I have noticed the capping thing in chat, I do not have to be capped in chat to be a Dominant, if I am capped I will however cap you, either way I’ll not be upset over it.
I know I may be a bit off base with the “norms” of chat, but I feel a Dom is noted by his/her actions not whether they are wearing “boots” or “Capped” or called “Sir/Ma’am” or addressed as such. I feel that just being Myself, and not anything else wil prove or disprove what I am and is the best way to be.
