Altair and Vega are two of the brightest stars in the sky, they form 2/3 of the summer triangle. It is said that they are celestial lovers. Vega was from the heavens, Altair a man. Vega's grandmother was not pleased that she was on earth and one day while Altair was away summond her back to heaven. Altairs friend allows him to use his body to fly up to the heavens and find Vega. He does and they have a pasionate reunion. Vegas grandmother is not happy and cuts a fabric of space and creates a celestial river of stars, The Milky Way. They are now forever seperated by the river of stars, but the heavens took notice and said if all is well on the seventh day of the seventh month all the worlds magpies would fly to heaven and create a bridge over the river of stars so they could have one night together. When this happens we can see both Altair and Vega shine the brightest in the summer sky. Keep looking at the stars maybe i will find my Vega.
