Adobe has released a new version to fix the bug with special characters. The released version for IE is 11.8.800.174. Please ensure you have the latest version if you are experiencing the unicode nickname issue in IE. Note this is not applicable to Windows 8 users. Microsoft will have to issue an update as well for IE.

After a recent Windows Update IE 10 users are having issues with Unicode Characters in nicknames not displaying correctly. We have found this is directly releated to the Windows Update and are working to correct the problem. We suggest that users try alternative browsers such as Firefox or Chrome until the issue can be fixed.

For users having trouble with whispers reporting error with no user name please enable compatibility mode in IE10.
Make sure the compatibilty button is blue. This should resolve your issue. We are working to correct the problem.
