very soon we will be looking for people that are interested in testing v5 before release.. they will have a chance to give their input on what they like, what they don't, what they would like added. will also be useful in finding bugs. My hope is a few people will be interested in this and devote some time to it. We want to give you the chat you want but it takes some of you helping with that.

you won't be required to do anything.. it will all be automatic.

I chat here because of the layout, I prefer the MSN clone look and want to have that still available.

the layout it pretty much the same.. you can open and close the left panel with one click.

test it.. give your feedback.. make suggestions etc... i can't stress this enough if you really want this to be something useful, participate in the process. Very few developers open projects up like this to the users to be able to have a say.. make use of it!

Only thing I havent found is the profile button for chatters and the ignore buttons

One option I would like to see is a permanent Ignore Feature. If I put someone on ignore, it is for a reason. But if I leave , refresh and return I have to use ignore again.

it now has permanent ignore and tag. You can test it in your favorite room by clicking on the V5 Link in the chatroom list when you are logged in.

How do you collapse the left pane and have V5 look like buzzen as it is now re back ground ?

It would be a great feature if room owners could choose a default theme for their room they pay for, while still allowing users to switch themes if they prefer ofcourse.
Our Trivia for example relies on broadcast chat functionality for a reason, not just for fanciness, so with the new V5 this setup will unfortunately break. I would also love to see a broadcast message as the V4 had. Like a room alert that still appears in chat and more control for a room owner that runs his room.
That said, great work to everyone involved in developing this update! (PH)

control panel has option for legacy broadcasts (old v4 style)
We may decide to make that default on. While I like the new broadcasts for some things, they aren't as practical for the ways users have been using them.

as for the theme. it might be possible to do that in the future when we have finished adding features to the database. We will keep it in mind. Thank you for your feedback it is much appreciated.
