Did you know that Smarties were manufactured since 1937, originally in the United Kingdom? They’re made by Nestle’ now. The name was chosen to evoke a sense of intelligence & to encourage people to pursue an education. (I’ve eaten Smarties & I don’t feel more intelligent, just a little fluffier! 🫤) They were originally called Chocolate Beans. In case you’re wondering, purple is the most popular Smartie colour.
I love Smaties! I don’t eat them by any particular colour. I just grab a few & eat them one at a time. I like to use them when baking cookies too. They add a pop of colour & make the chunky cookies delish! 😋
