I was born at an early age, then abandoned by my parents and raised by wolves. In December, 2000, I discovered CHAT. I'm going to the meetings now... "Hello. My name is Tawkin. I am a chataholic."

Elephants... The Circus... Trains... Laughter... Being there... Making a difference... Practicing random acts of kindness...

"...And remember, my sentimental friend, that a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others...."    -The Wizard of Oz, upon presenting The Tin Man his heart.

"Isn't it strange that princes and kings, and clowns that caper in sawdust rings,

and common people like you and me ...are builders for eternity?

Each is given a bag of tools, a shapeless mass, a book of rules;

and each must make - ere life is flown - a stumbling block ...or a stepping stone." - R. L. Sharpe

"You can't un-say a cruel thing." - Anonymous

Great people talk about ideas.  Average people talk about things.  Small people talk about other people.

Things generally work out better for those who have learned to make the best of the way things have worked out. - Unknown

"You can troop all over the world, and you can listen to applause in far-away places, and you can read flattering
publicity from hell to breakfast, but when you open with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in
Madison Square Garden, New York City, you have arrived." - Emmett Kelly, 1954

"Character" is how you treat those who can do nothing for you.

"A man doesn't treat a woman like a lady because she is a lady.  He treats her like a lady because he is a gentleman."

"We rarely, if ever, have a clue about what may be going on in someone's personal life.  So...just be nice.  It's that simple."

Country songs are the best at describing life situations.  One such song ends like this:  "...Nothing's as cold as ashes, after the fire is gone."   That lyric is "solid gold."

Being taught to avoid talking about  politics and religion has led to a lack of understanding of politics and religion.  What we should have been taught was how to have a civil discussion about a difficult topic.

Many people don't know this, but it's possible to read something you don't agree with on the internet...and simply move on with your life.
