Enjoyed the movie. Its about a writer who goes to Paris with his fiance' however he meets up with some American Writers in the 1920s. They sit around and want to be in the 1900's and later he meets some French Painters from the 1870s and they pine for the days of the 1820s. As humans when we are unhappy in the present, we tend to think that a by gone era was better. However it is only our "perceived" happiness in era gone by, we forget all the bad things that occurred during the time.
I think maybe it was Woody Allen's realization he should be happy in the time in which he lives and not pine for an era that has passed. It's so good to see Woody Allen making movies away from New York. In his last three films he has filmed in London, England. Barcelona, Spain and now Paris, France. Very cool indeed.
