I over-heard an elderly woman say to her husband one day as he lay dying in a hospital room. She placed a cellphone in his weak hand and softly said;
“Don’t forget George; call me when you get there.”
This happened as I passed his room and the door was ajar. I’m not even sure if he was conscious or in a coma, but it didn’t seem to matter to the lady. She talked as if he understood everything she was saying.
