Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The day honours the Indigenous children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. This is a sad & tragic part of our Canadian history. Wearing orange today honours the survivors.

My mother was Indigenous so I have my status. This is an important day for me to observe. 🧡

I'm glad you shared that Kitten!!  I will never understand the fact that some cultures are treated as lesser!  No one is less in my book and I love the differences in all of us.  Feel free to educate us that don't know!!  Love you gf!! xo
