Buzzen Singles Privacy

Buzzen Singles is an optional, members-only feature for adults age 18 and older. A Buzzen member is not enrolled automatically. Participation begins only when an eligible signed-in member chooses to join Buzzen Singles and submits a Singles profile.

Singles profile information: Buzzen Singles may store the headline, About Me text, what the member is looking for, gender selection, who the member is interested in meeting, relationship goals, preferred age range, and general city/state or region/country supplied for the Singles profile. Singles reuses the member's existing Buzzen account identity and profile picture. Age is calculated from the birthdate already associated with the Buzzen account; the exact birthdate is not copied into the Singles profile.

Location: Buzzen Singles V1 uses only general location information supplied for the Singles profile. It does not use GPS coordinates, exact physical location, IP-derived dating location, or exact-mile proximity.

Who can see a Singles profile: Singles profiles are intended only for authenticated members who are participating in Buzzen Singles and who meet the applicable eligibility and privacy rules. Singles profiles are not intended for public search-engine indexing or public sitemap exposure.

Interests, Matches, Hide and messaging: A one-way Singles Interested action is private. A mutual Interested action may create a Singles Match and notify both matched members. Singles Hide is private to the member who uses it. A current Singles Match may provide an authorized path to communicate through the existing Buzzen My Messages system; Buzzen does not create a separate Singles inbox. Global Buzzen blocking overrides Singles contact authorization.

Safety reports and moderation evidence: Buzzen Singles provides dedicated safety reporting. When a member reports a Singles profile, Buzzen may preserve a snapshot of the relevant Singles-visible profile information as it appeared when reported. When a member specifically reports a private message, Buzzen may preserve an immutable copy of only that specifically reported message and limited related metadata needed to review the report; the entire conversation is not copied into the Singles report. Reporter identity is not disclosed to the reported member through the Singles reporting system. Access to captured private-message evidence is limited to authorized staff and is audited.

Leaving Buzzen Singles: Leaving Singles removes the member from Singles discovery, removes the current Singles profile, clears active Singles interests, and ends active Singles Matches. Existing normal Buzzen friendships and My Messages history are not automatically removed. Singles Hide preferences may be retained so a privacy or safety choice is not lost if a member later rejoins.

Buzzen Singles safety information is available in the Buzzen Singles Safety Center, and the conduct requirements for participation are available in the Buzzen Singles Rules.

Buzzen Singles Account Deletion and Safety Retention

Whole-account deletion: Permanently deleting a Buzzen account removes the member's current Buzzen Singles profile, Singles Interests, Singles Hide state involving that account, and Singles-profile Spam Detection records tied to the deleted account. Any active Singles Match authorization ends immediately. Minimal ended Singles Match metadata (member IDs, Match status/generation, Match/end timestamps, and end reason) may remain for up to 12 months as limited safety/reporting context so a prior Singles relationship can still be established when reviewing or submitting an eligible safety concern. This retained Match metadata does not contain Singles profile text or private-message content and cannot authorize new Singles contact. Existing normal Buzzen shared history may continue to follow the broader account-deletion rules described elsewhere in this policy.

Safety reports are different from ordinary account-owned profile data: deleting an account does not automatically erase an unresolved Buzzen Singles safety report, the specifically captured evidence attached to that report, or retained Singles moderation history. This prevents account deletion from silently removing an unresolved scam, harassment, stalking, threat, underage, privacy, or similar safety matter. After an account is deleted, the moderation record may continue to reference the former numeric member ID while the live account no longer exists.

Normal moderation retention: Singles reports that are resolved as Action Taken or Dismissed are normally retained for 24 months after resolution and are then eligible for automatic deletion. An authorized Administrator may place a retention hold when the report must be preserved longer. Open or Under Review reports are retained while unresolved. Ended Singles restriction history is normally retained for 24 months after it ends. Ended Singles Match relationship records are normally removed after 12 months unless they were already independently captured as part of a safety report.
