Thief in the night

Predator in waiting

Angel in the light

Words now twisted

The slice of the knife

I feel like a place holder

It's no longer my life

Shed my armor

Now standing in the rain

I scream at the heavens

Please take away my pain

Collapsing to the ground

Fingers grasping at the earth
