Balanced
A soft gentle breeze floats against the branches
A deep rumble of thunder in the distance
Mother nature slowly exhales
Water flows over the rocks in a nearby stream
Soft moss-covered stones line the banks
A single leaf floats along the current
A deer lurks close to the edge
Her head lowered in a graceful bow
Ears twitch as she remains alert
A young fawn still unsteady on his feet
A pitter patter, drops of rain
Each creating its own ripple on the surface of the water
A sudden eerie drop in noise as birds stop chirping
There is a sound of early droplets hitting dry acorns
Mother nature now commands silence from all creatures
Clearing the stage so now only she can be heard
She reminds the world that she was here long before us
She will remain long after we are gone
