I recently sent a message to a woman telling her she had a unique and interesting profile.  She answered back saying "you don't" and closed the whisper window.  I took the hint and added a bit more:

educated, intelligent laid back, rather quiet older guy

outdoors lover, physical fitness...still stroke my fragile ego by pumping up

Likes:  sunny days, friendly and honest people

Dislikes: chatroom phonies...and there are many.  If you don't have a sense of  humor then why bother...
