[06:36p] Fury wandering out of the den to reset my lines in the water I made my way along the floating deck walkway towards the deeper water of the Marsh, at the end of my dock it would be some 36 or so horts deep. I carried a long stick with me as the probability of a marsh moccasin or three sunning themselves along the deck was quite high - and lo and behold, I was right... a snake was indeed sunning itself on my deck and a large one at that probably every bit of 50 horts in length, likely a male. Living in the marsh, these snakes were quite a common sight. I used my forked stick to quickly shove the resting reptile into the marsh where it slithered, seemingly atop the water, away from my dock. As I watched the creature vamoose, something caught my eye and I moved closer to the end of the dock and was shocked to see what appeared to be human remains, a carcas - stripped of its flesh.....this struck me as very odd and I scanned the area for other signs of human life, a capsized skiff or other boat or anything that would show logical travel into the bint infested waters of the Gorean Vosk Delta... who in their right mind would walk through the water?? I prodded the skeletal remains with my stick and wrinkled my nose... Maybe I didnt need to fish today - I'd try again in a couple days, tonight we'd just have rice and the dried fish I'd dehydrated previously.

( and this my friends is why you dont wander by foot through the marshes of the Delta. It is also why - if you roleplay your way in... you should ABSOLUTELY roleplay your way out... not just leave... thanks for the visit though!)
