Words are the lifeline of Gorean roleplay!  Let's have a little fun with them!

Take the last letter of the Gorean word posted, then post a NEW Gorean word beginning with that letter.
(The word must be a Gorean word.)

Example:
     THARLARION
The next post would be a word beginning with "N"......
     N - NEEDLE TREE
     ... and so on.

Feel free to add a short description or quote that uses the word, if you wish!

Let's start with

FLAMINIUM (a scarlet red, large-budded, five-petaled flower)

E- Esalinus, one of the major cities of slave trade. "These wholesalers usually distribute to retailers, in their individual cities, or, often, also, in well-known slaving centers, of which there are many, for example, Ar, Ko-ro-ba, Venna, Vonda, Victoria, on the Vosk, Market of Semris, Besnit, Esalinus, Harfax, Corcyus, Argentum, Torcadino, and others." — Dancer of Gor, page 102.

S- Slut. "How disgusting," said a free woman, nearby. I had not noticed her standing there until now. "Begone, slut!" said a peasant. The free woman gasped and hurried away. Peasants are not always tolerant of gentlewomen. Magicians of Gor

There is no word spelled "surrender" in My dictionary. I'll keep thinking, I currently have four words beginning with X that I am searching for a quote or a reference to support being played here.

HaiganXOct 12, 2019 4:01 AM

X- Xenotropic, replicating or reproducing only in cells other than those of the host species. The Physicians of Ar were engaged in Xenotropic research while seeking a cure for Dar-Kosis, Flaminius led the research program. The Physicians had developed a strain of urts resistant to Dar-Kosis, then created a serum cultured from the urt blood. When this serum was injected into other animals (hosts), they could not be infected by the disease. (Disclaimer: Xenotropic does not appear in any novel.)

HaiganXOct 12, 2019 4:13 AM

I do not expect the word xenotropic to be accepted but a fact of life is that you miss 100% of the shots you never take, so I took one. If anyone objects to the word being used here, because it does not appear in any of the novels to My knowledge, I will withdraw it without complaint. :)

It's a legit word, where Mine was dubious at best, so Yours is the better of the two really.

E - Eating prong - "On the table, too, she placed small spoons, of silver, from Tharna, for use with the black wine, and, at each place, a kailiauk-horn-handled eating prong, from distant Turia." ~Rogue of Gor~

G - Garrote - About my throat, closely looped, was a narrow golden chain. It was controlled by two narrow wooden handles, in his hand. "It was a girl-capture chain," I said. "It is to be distinguished sharply from the standard garrote, which is armed with wire and can cut a throat easily. The standard garrote, of course, is impractical for captures, for the victim, in even a reflexive movement, might cut her own throat. — Savages of Gor, page 180.

Eta - letter in the Gorean alphabet, like the earth letter "E"

A - Anteater: There are six varieties of anteaters in the rainforests near Schendi. One type is the great spined anteater. It is about twenty feet long and has heavy clawed forefeet. These claws are generally used to break into termite nests, its primary prey. They are also strong enough to eviscerate a larl. The anteater's four-foot long tongue is coated with an adhesive saliva that it uses to collect them. It also commonly makes a whistling sound.
