Words are the lifeline of Gorean roleplay!  Let's have a little fun with them!

Take the last letter of the Gorean word posted, then post a NEW Gorean word beginning with that letter.
(The word must be a Gorean word.)

Example:
     THARLARION
The next post would be a word beginning with "N"......
     N - NEEDLE TREE
     ... and so on.

Feel free to add a short description or quote that uses the word, if you wish!

Let's start with

FLAMINIUM (a scarlet red, large-budded, five-petaled flower)

E - ear piercing - "The piercing of the ears, however, is regarded as being the epitome of a slave girl's degradation. Any woman, it is said, with pierced ears, is a slave girl." ~Marauders of Gor~ known as a pierced-ear girl, the slave girl knows she can never be free again. ear piercing is an act of claiming, akin to collaring and is seen as tantamount to a sentence of irrevocable bondage.

M - Marsh Moccasin, a venomous snake living in wetlands. "We saw a narrow, dark shape, about five feet long, like a slowly undulating whip, glide past. A small triangular head was almost level with the water surface. I did not think there had been much danger, but there was some possibility that the movement of her legs in the water might have attracted its attention. "That is a marsh moccasin," I said. "Are they poisonous," she asked. "Yes," I said. (Vagabonds of Gor)

N - Night Singer - "On clear nights, in this time of year," I said, "it is my understanding that the garden is alive with the songs of the Night Singers, songs of demarcating territory, of courting, and nesting. N - Notched Beam Lock "Another form of lock, providing perhaps even less security, is the notched beam lock which may be opened by a heavy sickle-like key which is inserted through a hole in the door, fitted into the notch, and then rotated to the left or right, depending on whether the door is being locked or opened. These keys are quite heavy and are carried over the shoulder, and can, if necessary, even function as weapons." — Assassin of Gor, page 52.

K - Kakidlamerk "More strictly, their names were 'Pudjortok' and 'Kakidlamerk'. However, since these names, respectively, would be 'Thimble' and 'Thistle', and Imnak often referred to them in Gorean as 'Thimble' and 'Thistle' I have felt it would be acceptable to use those latter expressions, they being simpler from the point of view of one who does not natively speak the tongue of the People, or Innuit. — Beasts of Gor, page 194.
