I’m a developer, which basically means I spend a lot of time fixing things that shouldn’t have been broken in the first place. I run err0r.net and work mostly with chat networks, custom CMS projects, and cleaning up code that clearly had no adult supervision.

I care about performance, clean UI, and not making users question their life choices just by clicking around a website. I’m not big on overengineering. If something can be done in 20 lines instead of 200, I’m going with 20… and then spending the next two hours figuring out why it broke anyway.

Most of what I build falls somewhere between “this should’ve been simple” and “well, it works now, don’t touch it.” I’m not here to revolutionize anything, just to make things suck a little less than they did before.

I’ve spent more time than I’d like to admit modernizing old systems, fixing edge cases nobody thought about, and making sure things behave the way users expect… which is apparently a rare feature these days. If something feels clunky, slow, or just plain wrong, it bothers me enough that I’ll fix it, even if nobody asked.

I also have a special appreciation for real-world practicality over trendy nonsense. Not everything needs a framework, a rewrite, or a “next-gen solution.” Sometimes it just needs someone to sit down, understand how it actually works, and clean it up properly.

At the end of the day, I build things that work, look good, and don’t get in the user’s way. It’s not flashy, it’s not revolutionary, but it gets the job done… which, surprisingly, is still a competitive advantage.

All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself. ~Ralph Ellison

Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death ~ Albert Einstein..

Only those who have the patience to do simple things perfectly will acquire the skill to do difficult things easily. ~ Johann Schiller

“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie--deliberate, contrived and dishonest--but the myth--persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought." ~John F. Kennedy

“If you are surprised by the things I say and do, then you really haven’t paid attention to who I am.”
~ Tanya Masse
