Happy Independance Day

This was not intended to be an affront to those of the Land of the Free. It was intended as humour, but it seems it was not taken as such by one of You and the response was not pleasant. I deleted the post immediately but the Lady has now posted Her Own response, in that she wishes My guts to rot. It seems I misjudged the humour .. for that I apologise, but I take offence to Her response!!

What a vitriolic response by Kyrielle, one we had always considered a friend and had enjoyed r/p in Helisto recently! How could she ever have considered this to be any more than humour? Surely most of America can see this as it was intended - UK humour? We were flabberghasted by her response - Aneesha was in tears that her words could be so misconstrued! Do other Americans see this as some sort of slight on their honour or has the great USA now lost its sense of humour???

The image is quite hilarious, as I find the majority of British humour. As far as the vitriol endured in response, it is unfortunate it yielded tears. It didn't merit any. The title of the thread and opening line before the image were ample indication it was meant in good-spirited jest.
