This started out more as a joke than anything, but as I added to it, it became obvious that there are chatters out there who need these "helpful" tips. I may add more as time goes on. So enjoy these "helpful" chat tips.
Below are a few helpful tips to help you enjoy your time in chat. Enjoy!!!
Helpful tip #1: before complaining that chat is boring, please remember that what YOU put into chat is what YOU get out of it. So if you put nothing into it, you get nothing in return. Be an active part of whatever room you chat in.
Helpful tip #2: treat other chatters as you wish to be treated. Throwing hissy fits or tantrums in the room only cast you in a bad light. Life is too damn short to worry about petty shit.
Helpful tip #3: whatever ðŸ€â„‰á»”ỔⱩĘṘ🀠says, don't believe him. He is so full of hot air that if he wasn't weighted down with ankle weights, he would float off into the sky
Helpful tip #4: don't worry about who's with who, who may be with who, or who you heard was with whoever. Its their life, their business not yours. Your time in chat will be a lot more fun when you focus on you and not on anyone else
Helpful tip #5: Make the ignore button your friend. Annoying whispers or annoying chatters disappear when you use the iggy button. It is your friend.
Helpful tip #6: Stop with the assumptions about me or anyone else for that matter. Assuming things about anyone serves no purpose. To stop the assumptions and innuendos, I am with no one, I am happily single, and even IF I were with someone, that is my business and no one else's.

Damn fooker must have alot of hot air
lol Southern the reasoning behind that post is hilarious, I'll whisper it to ya sometime
I disagree with you, philotes. In America we have this concept called free speech. I am " allowed" under the law to freely express my opinions and whatever I wish to express. As do you. In my OPINION, we have jerked so far to the other end of the solar system that now everyone is basically afraid to express those opinions lest they be trashed, mashed and relegated to the trash bin as ......well.... trash. In the main, it is ADULTS conversing in chat. Adults who things other ADULTS may not a
*may not agree with. I suppose if we all just want frosting without the meat of cake, your view would be a good one. Unless of course you are role playing a gorean slave, in which case it is ENTIRELY appropriate you keep your opinions to yourself unless given permission to express them. And ONLY then.
So, perhaps " we" ought to garb in our adult clothes and return to actually BEING adults who can converse, one with the other, DESPITE and RESPECTIVE of our having ......expressed our views !! Or thoughts. Or outright rank comments. Which....gotta love Buzzen !! You can then be so appalled, so struck with disgust you put them on ignore. Yay you !! And me too. The end, amen.
" Adults who things other ADULTS may not" = Adults who SAY things other adults may not agree with.
Oh my goodness, I regret you feel you've offended. You've not, not at ALL. I was....perhaps clumsily explaining the difference between general chitchat and goreans. Gor is role play, hardly a lifestyle. For certain, some do claim it as a lifestyle but far as I'm aware, slavery has been outlawed world wide for generations.
As in I cited it as an example where a " group" of people are essentially restricted in speech. Thank you.
As I stated, this started out for fun, as a joke. However, it became abundantly clear there were those who needed these "helpful" tips. I agree, more than 6 are probably needed, but for now, 6 is enough. As for the no political or religious talk, the reason for this is because those two topics are very volatile and discussions about those topic always leads to fighting, arguing and name calling. So its best to put a stop to it before it ever begins.
Philotes, if there is anything I can do or if you need assistance in any way, please don't hesitate to ask. It doesn't matter if I'm hosting at the time or not, Kyrielle, you have managed to take the topic of this blog and turn it into a discussion of Freedom of Speech. To reiterate, these tips, though helpful, are not meant to be followed to the letter. If someone reads them and gets a laugh out of it, great. If someone reads them and thinks they are not funny, that's fine.
I am all for reading the opinion of others. I enjoy having an adult discussion on various topics. But even I recognize there are certain topics that should remain whisper topics and not room topics. Philotes and Kyrielle, have a great evening.
Helpful tip #3 has me IRRATE lmfao
Kyrielle ... I likely agree with most of what you posted, the problem on this website is sometimes people think they can come into a privately owned chatroom, that is paid for by a single person, and feel like they can do whatever they like or what just because they as an american (for example) enjoy certain rights and privileges. The flaw in that thinking is, just like if someone comes to my house, if they do something I don't like or act in a way I do not appreciate, I as the home owner ....
am the only one with any "rights" there. If I choose to warn them that they need to change their behavior in my house if they wish to stay, I can do that. I can also ask them to leave. I can also use necessary force to make them leave if need be. They have no rights. Anyway its just something I notice in private chat rooms and its pretty ridiculous how ppl start acting when you step on their falsely perceived "rights" lol.
Thank you, CowboysFan. I agree, owner created rooms owners have a right to decide what they will tolerate and what they will not. I am easily the most intolerant person as far as chat rooms go. For my gorean owned room. I make no apologizes for it. I wrongly presumed this was an open blog, for comments. I've now learned that is not so
.
Did I say thank you? I did. It bears repeating. A great big THANK YOU, CowboysFan for the gentleness and genteel ness of your replies. From the bottom of my icey little heart. * gives you a big hug and goes on about my day*
It seems like a pretty open forum to me ... only one with any control of it is Sasha, as it is her blog. Have a great day Kyrielle
You too.
Damn, All I meant to do was to add to some helpful tips, not to start an all out sarcastic war. See if i ever comment on another blog, or even say another word in again in a room other than a greeting. This isn't worth the backlash. from now on I will just keep quiet and consider other opportunities to chat on other forums. My apologies for starting problems and causing so many issues.
Philotes, you have nothing to be sorry for. Yes this is my blog, yes I control the comments. However, what I won't accept is when anyone takes the topic of this blog and take it into a direction that suits them. Philotes, I meant what I said before, if you are in the room I host in and you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. Kyrielle, this is an open blog, MY open blog. I welcome comments. If you have issue with my response to your comment, feel free to message me.
